“Was it ignorance that caused the Fall of Man, Kuthumi?”
“No, Greg. The term ‘Fall of Man’ is correct in the sense that life for humans became much more difficult in duality than it was in the world of unity. Yet it needs to be seen from a higher perspective. It was not a disaster. Nothing happens outside of God’s plan. God doesn’t make mistakes. That it happened means it was by design.”
“Did God just want to try something different?”
“The supreme intelligence we call God is consciousness, life, love, mind, power, freedom, and light. God, which knows everything, knows this, but can only experience being God by having something with which to compare. We can only see light against darkness, consciousness in contrast with unconsciousness, power in contrast with impotence, love in contrast with fear, truth in contrast with lies, freedom in contrast with restriction, and life by experiencing death. Presumably, it must be in God’s interest to allow humans to experience the three-dimensional world of opposites, because it is happening.”

“You are like pioneers at the cutting edge of creation, Greg.”
“I really like that. It’s such an improvement on the idea of ‘the Fall of Man’ and all humanity copping ‘original sin’ as the outcome of Adam and Eve digesting the wrong stuff.”
“We want to introduce you to the concept that nothing has gone wrong: that life is purposeful and orderly: to use the Greek words, life on Earth is cosmos, not chaos. We aim to introduce you to the idea that the universe is interconnected and whole, despite appearances. It will go against everything you’ve been taught, not only in this life but also in other lives.”
“The Fall of Man was not an accident. In truth, it was a grand adventure. Light-beings were curious about what lay outside paradise. They opted to risk leaving a harmonious environment to experience the unknown.”
“Sounds pretty stupid to me. If it ain’t broke, why try to fix it? Yet you’re saying the fall was by design?”
“As Father O’Driscoll, you have often preached the parable of the Prodigal Son. The story of the man who left his happy and prosperous home to seek his fortune. His good life turned to extreme poverty. When he was tending pigs and sharing their food, he thought of going home and trying to get work on his father’s estate. When he got home, he was surprised to find his father overjoyed and delighted to take him back as his son.”
“What you’d forgotten was that this is the story of every man and woman. Humans are the most adventurous of all angelic beings. You should be proud of yourselves just for turning up on Earth. You were courageous enough to leave the comfort of Father-Mother God’s home to journey alone. By doing so, you experience the highs and lows of life, but you gain invaluable experience, knowledge, and wisdom. When you finally return home as a graduate from Earth school, not only will you be welcomed, but the celebrations will be great.”
“Having experienced the darkness, you’ll return to the light and truly appreciate paradise. You will be wiser than the angels who have never made this journey. You’ll be better able to appreciate light by having experienced darkness. Better able to understand good by having experienced evil, health by having known illness, power by having experienced impotence, love by having lived with fear, and life by undergoing death.”
“Ooh, I like that, Kuthumi. We learn best by experiencing opposites. Hence, the value of duality.”
“Thought that would appeal to you.”
